May the one blow strength to me; may the other blow away what is harmful. That treasure of immortality which is placed yonder in your house, O Wind—give us from that to live; grant us medicine from that; bring us
greatness from that! May the wind blow healing here; / bringing peace, bringing joy to our heart, may it prolong our life spans. You are Indra's house; I take refuge in you with cows, with horses, with whatever
belongs to me. I take refuge in Bhūḥ; I take refuge in Bhuvaḥ; I take refuge in Suvaḥ; I take refuge in Bhūr-bhuvaḥ-suvaḥ. I take refuge in Vāyu; I take refuge in the uninjured deity; I take refuge in the unyielding stone; I take refuge in the Brahman-chest of Prajāpati; I take refuge in Brahman;
I take refuge in Om. The wide atmosphere is my interior; the mountains are high summits. With whatever well-being the wind is well, with that well-being may I be well. Inhalation and exhalation,
protect me from death; inhalation and exhalation, do not abandon me! May Agni bestow wisdom on me, offspring on me, fiery energy on me. May Indra bestow wisdom on me, offspring on me, power of the senses on me. May Sūrya bestow wisdom on me,
offspring on me, brilliance on me. [2] Protect us through days and nights with unharmed blessings, O Aśvins! May Mitra, Varuṇa, Aditi, Sindhu,
the earth, and heaven grant us this. By what help will the wonderful, ever-growing friend be with us? By what most powerful assistance? Which truest and most generous intoxication from the drink will gladden you

Sovereign over precious things, ruling over peoples, I ask the waters for healing. May the waters and plants be friendly to us; may they be hostile to him who hates us and whom

mothers. To that [abode] may we readily go, for whose dwelling you quicken [us]; [4] O waters, generate us also. The earth is peaceful; it is peaceful through fire; may it be peaceful to me,
may it quell my grief. The intermediate space is peaceful; it is peaceful through Vāyu; peaceful to me, may it quell my grief. Heaven is peaceful; it is peaceful through Āditya; peaceful to me, may it
quell my grief. The earth is peace; the intermediate space is peace; heaven is peace; the directions are peace; the intermediate directions are peace; Agni is peace; Vāyu is peace; Āditya is peace; the moon
is peace; the constellations are peace; the waters are peace; the plants are peace; the trees are peace; the cow is peace; the goat is peace; the horse is peace; man is peace; Brahman is peace; the brāhmaṇa is peace;
peace itself is peace; may there be peace for me, peace. Through that peace, through all-peace, I make peace for myself, for bipeds, and for quadrupeds; may there be peace for me, peace.
