Meaning: O woman of broad hips—she whose hips, the rear portions of the waist, are broad, thick, in that vocative, O woman of wide hips. Where the first and fourth—the first and the fourth, the seventh—the seventh, the tenth—numbering ten, and likewise—in this manner, the final—and the eleventh [syllable], should be heavy—long. O embodiment of manifest love's power! She whose love's power—the power of passion is manifest—revealed, in that vocative; that metre indeed—certainly is declared—taught [by poets] to be the dodhaka syllabic metre—bearing that name.
