Having put on a pure, white, dry [garment], wearing the sacred thread, having sipped water, he offers white bali-portions four times with "Curd, husked rice, fragrant white flowers." Having strewn eastward-pointing darbha grass in the fire-sanctuary, he makes eight bali-offerings upon them with: "Homage to Agni, to Soma, to Prajāpati, to the All-gods, to the sages, to the beings, to the ancestors, to all deities!"
