apa upaspṛśya sudarśanenāṣṭasahasram agnibījenāṣṭasahasraṃ sapraṇavaṃ juhoti \

Having touched water, he offers eight thousand [oblations] with the Sudarśana [mantra], and eight thousand with the seed-syllable of Agni, accompanied by the sacred syllable Om.
