dakṣiṇena pāṇinā dakṣiṇam am̐sam anvārabdhāyāḥ ṣaḍ ājyāhutīr juhoty agnir etu prathama ity etatprabhṛtibhiḥ,

While she touches his right shoulder with her right hand, he sacrifices six oblations of Âgya with (the verse), 'May Agni go as the first,' and the following (verses) (MB. I, 1, 9-14)—
