vedyāḥ sītāyā hradād goṣṭhāc catuṣpathād ādevanād ādahanād iriṇāt,

From an altar, a furrow, a pool, a cow-stable, a place where four roads meet, a gambling-place, a place where corpses are burnt, and from sterile soil;
