atrāñjanābhyañjane dattvopatiṣṭhate \ namo astu sarpebhyaḥ \ ityetairmantraiḥ \7\
Having given there collyrium and (other) salve (to the Serpents), he worships them with the Mantras, 'Adoration be to the Serpents' (Taitt. Samhitâ IV, 2, 8, 3).
