When intending to build a house, with “Here I receive the subjects for the eating of food,” having drawn three lines around with an udumbara branch, he offers an oblation on a sacrificial ground in the middle: “Who art thou? Whose art thou? To whom do I, desiring a village, sacrifice for thee? Svāhā! In this place is the higher portion of the gods. The fathers who have departed arose from here. Sacrificing rich in nourishment, desiring a village, I indeed bypass none of the gods! Svāhā!”
