uraḥ śirobhyāṃ kaṇṭhāccapañcamaḥ svara ucyate
dhaivatastu lalāṭādyaiḥ niṣādaḥ savarūpavān
The tone pañcama is said [to arise] from the chest, the head, and the throat; / dhaivata from the forehead and adjacent parts; niṣāda is endowed with the forms of all.
