yathā saṃyogibhir dravyair lakṣite 'rthe prayujyate
gośabdo na tv asau teṣāṃ viśeśāṇāṃ prakāśakaḥ //

Just as the word 'cow' is applied to an object indicated by conjoined substances,
yet it is not an illuminator of their particular distinctions;
