dravyadharmā padārthe tu dravye sarvo 'rtha ucyate
dravyadharmāśrayād dravyam ataḥ sarvo 'rtha iṣyate //

When the word-meaning has the property of substance, however, all meaning is stated as substance;
from its having the properties of substance as locus, therefore, every meaning is held to be substance.
