jātyutpalādigandhādau bhedatattvaṃ yad āśritam
tad bhāvapratyayair loke 'nityatvān nābhidhīyate //
The reality of distinction which inheres in the fragrance and the like of the night-flowering jasmine, blue lotus, and so forth, / is not expressed by abstract suffixes in worldly usage because of its non-eternality.
