Regarding "cakryatra": Here, elision of k by "skoḥ—" (Pā. Sū. 8.2.29) does not occur; because under the view that operational time is rule application time (kāryakālapakṣa), yaṇ is suspended by the metarule of the externally conditioned (bahiraṅgaparibhāṣā), and because of treatment like the original (sthānivadbhāva). But "pūrvatrāsiddhīye na—" [treatment like the original does not apply to a rule suspended with respect to a prior rule] does not apply here, because of the statement "tasya doṣaḥ saṃyogādilopa—" and so on.
