e nava sāhi bhae tisa ṭhā̃u. yātaũ takhata Jaunapura nā̃u.
pūraba disi Paṭanā laũ āna. pacchima hadda Iṭāvā thāna. //

These nine kings ruled in that place; therefore the throne is named Jaunpur.
To the east its sway extended as far as Patna; to the west its boundary was the station of Etawah.
