so Banārasī laī uṭhāi. apane ḍere khālī āi.
moti āṭha aura kichu nā̃hi. dekhata khusī bhae mana mā̃hi. //

Banārasī picked it up and returned to his lodging alone;
there were eight pearls and nothing else—seeing them, he felt joyful in his heart.
