hā bhīṣmu gaṃgānaṃdanu |
jo pratāpatejasvī bhānu |
ripugajapaṃcānanu |
karṇa vīru ||

Here is Bhīṣma, the son of Gaṅgā, / who is a sun shining with valour; / and the hero Karṇa, / a lion to the elephants of his enemies.
