teṇeṃ mahāghoṣanirghāteṃ |
śeṣa kūrma avaciteṃ |
gajabajoni bhūbhārāteṃ |
sāṃḍūṃ pāhati ||
With the thunderous crash of that great noise, / Śeṣa and the Cosmic Tortoise, suddenly startled, / were about to abandon / the burden of the earth.
