tumhīṃ bolavilyā mī bolena |
jaiseṃ ceṣṭe sūtrādhīna |
daruyaṃtra ||
Now grant your attentive presence; / I shall speak only as you make me speak, / just as a wooden puppet moves / dependent on the puppeteer's string.
