to mī mhaṇe yādavarāvo |
kavīśvarāṃmājīṃ dhairyā rāvo |
uśanācārya mī ||
Among the sages, I am Sage Vyāsa, / says the King of the Yādavas; / among the great poets, I am the king of fortitude, / the teacher Uśanas.
