Jñāneśvarī (commentary on the Bhagavadgītā) 10.66

10.66

āṇi jaḷacarāṃ udadhīceṃ māna |
maśakāṃ nolāṃḍave gagana |
taiseṃ maharṣīṃceṃ jñāna |
neṇe māteṃ ||

And just as creatures of the water cannot fathom the ocean,
and gnats cannot cross the sky,
so the knowledge of the great seers
does not know me.
