kāryakāraṇakartṛtve hetuḥ prakṛtir ucyate
puruṣaḥ sukhaduḥkhānāṃ bhoktṛtve hetur ucyate
tetha icchā āṇi buddhī |
ghaḍavī ahaṃkāresīṃ ādhīṃ |
maga tiyā lāvitī vedhīṃ |
kāraṇācāṃ ||

There, desire and intellect / first unite with the ego, / and then they direct their attention / toward the causes.
