iti guhyatamaṃ śāstram idam uktaṃ mayānagha
etad buddhvā buddhimān syāt kṛtakṛtyaś ca bhārata
evaṃ kathilayādārabhya |
jeṃ heṃ sarva śāstraikalabhya |
upaniṣadāṃ saurabhya |
kamaḷadaḷāṃ jevīṃ ||

Thus, beginning with what has been expounded, / this which is the sole aim of all sacred scripture, / is the fragrance of the Upaniṣads, / like that of lotus petals.
