asatyam apratiṣṭhaṃ te jagad āhur anīśvaram
aparasparasaṃbhūtaṃ kim anyat kāmahaitukam
tarī viśva hā anādi ṭhāvo |
yetha niyaṃtā īśvararāvo |
cāvaḍiye nyāvo anyāvo |
nivaḍī vedu ||

They say: 'This universe is a beginningless place; / there is no sovereign Lord who governs here, / nor does the Veda determine / justice and injustice in public assembly.
