yaḥ śāstravidhim utsṛjya vartate kāmakārataḥ
na sa siddhim avāpnoti na sukhaṃ na parāṃ gatim
nā heṃ nāvaḍoni kāṃhīṃ |
kāmādikāṃcāṃci ṭhāyīṃ |
dāṭilī jeṇeṃ ḍoī |
ātmacoreṃ ||

On the other hand, disliking this, / whoever, as a thief of his own soul, / has bowed his head before desire and the rest—
