atha cet tvam imaṃ dharmyaṃ saṃgrāmaṃ na kariṣyasi
tataḥ svadharmaṃ kīrtiṃ ca hitvā pāpam avāpsyasi
ātāṃ hā aisā avherije |
maga nāthile śocūṃ baisije |
tarī āpaṇa āhāṇā hoije |
āpaṇapeyāṃ ||
If now one casts this aside, / and sits grieving for what is unreal, / then one brings ruin / upon oneself.
