bhogaiśvaryaprasaktānāṃ tayāpahṛtacetasām
vyavasāyātmikā buddhiḥ samādhau na vidhīyate
parī ekaci kuḍeṃ karitī |
je svargakāmu manīṃ dharitī |
yajñapuruṣā cukatī |
bhoktā jo ||

[Bhagavadgītā 2.44]
Yet they commit this one blunder:
that they cherish in their minds the desire for heaven;
[thus] they miss the Lord of the sacrifice,
who is the enjoyer.
