2.3

jaiseṃ lavaṇa jaḷe jhaḷaṃbaleṃ |
nā tarīṃ abhra vāteṃ hāle |
taiseṃ sadhīra parī viramaleṃ |
hṛdaya tayāceṃ ||

Just as salt dissolves in water,
or a cloud is stirred by the wind,
so his heart, though steadfast,
melted away.
