2.56

timirāvaruddh jaiseṃ |
dṛṣṭīceṃ teja bhrṃśe |
maga pāṃsīṃca asatāṃ na dise |
vastujāta ||

Just as when obstructed by darkness / the light of sight fails, / and then, though right nearby, / objects are not seen;
