2.66

jaisīṃ bījeṃ sarvathā āhāḷalīṃ |
tīṃ sukṣetrīṃ jarhī perilīṃ |
tarī na viruḍhatī siṃcalīṃ |
āvaḍe taisīṃ ||

Just as seeds that are completely parched, / even if sown in fertile soil, / will not sprout, however much / they may be watered;
