jaiseṃ gatāyuṣī śarīrīṃ |
caitanya vāsu na karī |
kāṃ nidaivācyā gharīṃ |
na rāhe lakṣmī ||

Just as in a body whose lifespan is spent,
pure consciousness no longer abides;
or as into the house of the unfortunate
Lakṣmī does not remain;
