mhaṇaūni nijavṛtti he na saṃḍāvī |
iṃdriyeṃ baraḷoṃ nedāvīṃ |
aiseṃ prajāṃteṃ śikavī |
caturānanu ||

Therefore, this proper duty must not be abandoned;
the senses must not be allowed to run wild;"
in this manner the four-faced Brahmā
instructed his offspring.
