arjuna uvāca
atha kena prayukto 'yaṃ pāpaṃ carati pūruṣaḥ
anicchann api vārṣṇeya balād iva niyojitaḥ
aiseṃ samastasuraśiromaṇī |
bolile jetha śrīśārṅgpāṇī |
tetha arjunamhaṇe vinavaṇī |
ase devā ||

When the jewel on the crest of all the gods, / the bearer of the Śārṅga bow, had spoken thus, / Arjuna then said: / "I have a request, O God.
