3.266

indriyāṇi mano buddhir asyādhiṣṭhānam ucyate
etair vimohayaty eṣa jñānam āvṛtya dehinam
taise upāya kījatī je je |
te yāṃsīci hotī viraje |
mhaṇoni haṭiyāṃte jiṇije |
ihīmci jagīṃ ||

Even so, whatever remedies are tried / only nourish these [enemies]; / hence, those who persist in stubborn effort / are conquered by them in this very world.
