sanakādikāṃciyā āśā |
vāḍhīnalyā hotiyā kīra bahuvasā |
parī tyāhī yeṇeṃ māneṃ yaśā |
yetīcinā ||
The hopes of Sanaka and the other sages / had indeed grown very great; / yet even they cannot achieve success / in this measure.
