te dravyādiyāgu kīra hotī |
parī jñānayajñācī sarī na pavatī |
jaiśī tārātejasaṃpattī |
dinakarāpāśīṃ ||
Those are indeed sacrifices made of material wealth,
but they do not bear comparison with the sacrifice of knowledge,
just as the brilliance of the stars
cannot compare with the sun.
