Jñāneśvarī (commentary on the Bhagavadgītā) 4.51

4.51

paritrāṇāya sādhūnāṃ vināśāya ca duṣkṛtām
dharmasaṃsthāpanārthāya saṃbhavāmi yuge yuge
te veḷīṃ āpulyāceni kaivāreṃ |
mī sākāru houni avatareṃ |
maga ajñānāceṃ āṃdhāreṃ |
giḷūni ghālīṃ ||

At that time, out of partisan love for My own, / taking form, I descend; / then, having swallowed up the darkness of ignorance, / I cast it out.
