sāṃgeṃ vātavarṣaātapu dhare |
aiseṃ abhrachāyāci jarī sare |
tarī trimāḷikeṃ dhavaḷāreṃ |
karāvīṃ kāṃ ||
Tell me, if the shade of a cloud could suffice / to keep off wind, rain, and sun, / then why should three-storied / white mansions be built?
