apareyam itas tv anyāṃ prakṛtiṃ viddhi me parām
jīvabhūtāṃ mahābāho yayedaṃ dhāryate jagat
āṇi yā āṭhāṃcī je sāmyāvasthā |
te mājhī parama prakṛti pārthā |
tiye nāma vyavasthā |
jīvu aisī ||

And the state of equilibrium of these eight, / that, Pārtha, is my higher Prakṛti; / its designated name / is the individual soul.
