yamadamā avakaḷā āṇilī |
tīrtheṃ ṭhāyāvarūni uṭhavilīṃ |
yamalokīṃcī khuṃṭilī |
rāhāṭī āghavī ||
They brought decline upon restraint and control; / they displaced holy bathing-places from their function; / and the entire activity of Yama's realm / was brought to a standstill.
