erhavīṃ tarī bhūmīāṃtūni svayaṃbha |
kāya ghaḍeyāgāḍageyāṃce nighatī koṃbha |
pari te kulālamatīce garbha |
umaṭale kīṃ ||
Otherwise, from within the earth, / do sprouts of jars and pitchers arise spontaneously? / But they are the conceivings of the potter's mind / stamped [into clay], are they not?
