Whether knowingly or unknowingly, if there be any wrong committed / by this slave, do not get angry and hold it against me as an account; / let your sacred heart feel pity, and showing great affection, come / and grant that from now on I am not drowned in ruinous karma to suffer distress; / you must grant a good boon and protect me with your grace! Primal Mother who gave birth tenderly to the souls of all universes! / Exalted One of the lotus feet praised by Purandara, the Lotus-born One, and Mādhava! / Destroyer of the [Three] Fortresses! Purandarī! Purātanī! / Purāṇī! Empress of the Three Worlds! / Green parrot whose speech is sweeter than medicine! Vārāhī! Living in beautiful, / growing Tirukkaṭavūr, O Vāmī! Śubanemi! Pugazhnāmi! / Vāmī in whom Śivasāmi delights! O Apirāmi, Umai!
