So that the ghoul of ancient darkness of pervasive karma, which did not allow me / to see anything else in the night of sorrowful rebirth, would flee, / He entered and dwelt within my heart along with the dense-blossomed piṇḍi tree upon the pure gold seat; / I shall trim that blazing lamp using the finger of true knowledge.
