Sage Agastya and Venerable Māṇikkavācakar
Wishing to perform the kuṟavañci drama of the eternal Tirikūṭaliṅgar,
we sing of the sage who spoke Tamil so that the sacred forms of the liberated ones melted,
and we cherish the feet of Vātavūrāṉ who joined the twin feet of the Madman,
so that phlegm does not arise and choke us on the day when the soul leaves this body and dies.
