وأما الخانات والملوك والأمراء، فإنه لا يركب أحد منهم في السفر والحضر إلا بأعلام، وأكثر ما يحمل الخان تسعة أعلام، وأقل ما يحمل الأمير ثلاثة، وأكثر ما يجرى الخان في الحضر عشرة جنايب، وأكثر ما يجرى الأمير في الحضر جنيبات.

As for the khāns, kings and amīrs, none of them rides, whether travelling or at home, except with banners. The most a khān carries is nine banners, and the least an amīr carries is three. The most a khān leads at home is ten led horses, and the most an amīr leads at home is [two] led horses.
