I say: The learned Niẓām al-Dīn Abū al-Faḍāʾil Yaḥyā b. al-Ḥakīm told me about this man's affair and said that he had seen him in Damascus, but he did not mention the amount of this alms. Al-Subkī, al-Multānī and al-Bazzī likewise told me about him; though their wording differed, the sense was one. Each of them said that this Mughṣān was among the learned, the notables and the virtuous elite.
