والثانية: تسمى سيري، بكسر السين المهمل والراء وبينهما ياء مد، وتسمى أيضا دار الخلافة ، وهي التي أعطاها السلطان لغياث الدين حفيد الخليفة المستنصر العباسي لما قدم عليه، وبها كان سكنى السلطان علاء الدين وابنه قطب الدين، وسنذكرهما.

The second is called Sīrī (with i after the s and the r and a long ī between them), and is also called Dār al-Khilāfa; it is the one the Sultan gave to Ghiyāth al-Dīn, grandson of the ʿAbbāsid caliph al-Mustanṣir, when he came to him. Sultan ʿAlāʾ al-Dīn and his son Quṭb al-Dīn used to reside there; we shall mention them.
