بسجنه تلك الليلة، فو الله ما بعثت له زوجته فراشا ينام عليه، ولا سألت عنه خوفا من السلطان، وخاف أصحابه فودعوا أموالهم! وأردت زيارته بالسجن، فلقيني بعض الأمراء وفهم عني أني أريد زيارته، فقال لي:
