وكان الشيخ الصالح شمس الدين ابن تاج العارفين ساكنا بمدينة كول منقطعا للعبادة، كبير القدر، ودخل السلطان إلى مدينة كول، فبعث عنه فلم يأته، فذهب السلطان إليه، ثم لما قارب منزله انصرف، ولم يره.

The pious Shaykh Shams al-Dīn ibn Tāj al-ʿĀrifīn lived in the city of Kūl, devoted to worship, a man of great standing. The Sultan entered the city of Kūl and sent for him, but he did not come to him. So the Sultan went to him, but when he drew near his dwelling he turned back and did not see him.
