معه الأموال يحملها إلى دهلي، فقال له ابراهيم: إن الطريق مخوف، وفيه القطع، فأقم عندي حتى يصلح الطريق وأوصلك إلى المأمن، وكان قصده أن يتحقق موت السلطان فيستولي على تلك الأموال، فلما تحقق حياته سرح ذلك الأمير، وكان يسمى ضياء الملك بن شمس الملك.

carrying money to Dihlī. Ibrāhīm said to him: "The road is dangerous and there are highwaymen on it; stay with me until the road is safe, and I will bring you to a place of safety." His intention was to make certain of the Sultan's death and then seize that money. When he learned for certain that the Sultan was alive, he let that amīr go; he was called Ḍiyāʾ al-Mulk ibn Shams al-Mulk.
