فنصب لخلافته عليها أبا منصور نصر بن إسحاق وزيره، ووكل بها تدبيره، ورضي لها تقديمه وتأخيره. فقام بضبط الولاية، واستدرار الجباية، وإتقان السياسة، وإنعام الحراسة، قيام من عدله الزمان بثقافه ، وزينه الكمال بأوصافه.

He appointed his vizier Abū Manṣūr Naṣr ibn Isḥāq as his deputy over it, entrusted its administration to him, and approved his advancing and holding back there. He undertook the control of the province, the drawing of revenue, the perfecting of government and the careful guarding [of it], as one whom time had straightened with its straightening-iron and perfection had adorned with its qualities.
